Biocentral Alpha v0.1.0 released!
Biocentral Alpha v0.1.0 is released! Here's a little bit of personal history about the project and information about the future roadmap.
Today, I am extremely excited to announce that the first alpha release of biocentral is finally out. Biocentral started out as a side project about 1.5 years ago. Having finished my master thesis about human virus interactions, I was caught by the idea of bringing all the data science capacities of bioinformatics to a broader audience. So, after phases of intense professional work, no work at all, and hobby project coding while doing another job, I am very happy to finally share the project with you. While there is still a long way to go and not all features are implemented yet by far, the main ideas are already represented: Simplicity, Reproducibility, Modularity.
I'd be utterly humbled if you give this project a try. Any feedback is very much welcome, please reach out via mail or creating a GitHub issue.
And also stay tuned for future updates! A lot is planned for the coming months, highlights include a bayesian optimization plugin and a cell data plugin. The latter will, amongst others, allow to work with flow cytometry data, representing one further step towards the vision of biocentral: Having all your biomedical data in one place, enabling you to produce amazing scientific papers and progress with it! So please make sure to stay up to date by starring the GitHub Repository and following the Biocentral Organization.
Thank you for your time reading this, and now feel free to try biocentral yourself!
